Project Groundwork & SCJ Alliance to Merge

"I am pleased to be forging a relationship with SCJ Alliance, an engineering and planning company, which will allow us to continue blending both engineering and landscape architecture at the outset of projects. The merger of the two firms creates the horsepower and depth of services I dreamed of developing when we started Project Groundwork in 2007," David said.

Site Design

Our Wenatchee and Seattle design team members listen to the community and our clients. We take that message and develop site design solutions that meet our clients’ expectations, are site sensitive, and match the project budgetary constraints.

We understand the scale of a community and deliver site design solutions that are appropriate in both scale and level of finish. We don’t develop plans that, once implemented, seem out of place or simply are not implementable.

Landscape Architecture

East side or West side, we understand and consider local climate when developing a planting plan for a project site, whether that site was designed by our in-house staff or by a civil engineer or architect partner.

Planting design is a true art, it is dynamic from season to season and year to year. We consider the four seasons when selecting plant material and specify plant material based on what it looks like ten minutes, and ten years, after planting.

Community Planning

We are dedicated to making the places we live better. Whether that is by developing plans for walkable communities with parks and open space integrated in the neighborhood plan, or through open space and recreation plans that serve the entire community.

Corridor Planning & Design

Corridors are not just about the automobile, at least they shouldn’t be. We view a street or trail corridor from a different perspective than other transportation design professionals.

Our primary concern when developing a vision for a roadway corridor is, "how can the pedestrian experience be enhanced without sacrificing functionality for the automobile?"
